今日は霙が降る寒い一日だったが、雨が止んでさらに寒くなった。空が晴れれば冬の大三角も見れるだろう。私が好きな唱歌の一つである。

木枯らしとだえて さゆる空より
地上に降りしく 奇（くす）しき光よ
ものみないこえる しじまの中に
きらめき揺れつつ 星座はめぐる
ほのぼの明かりて 流るる銀河
オリオン舞い立ち スバルはさざめく
無窮（むきゅう）をゆびさす 北斗の針と
きらめき揺れつつ 星座はめぐる

“Winter Constellations”
From the crisp night sky after wintry blasts,
How mysterious the lights are showering down onto the earth.
Amidst the silence where everybody’s been resting,
Constellations move around whilst twinkling and shimmering themselves.
Under the flow of the Milky Way shining faintly,
Orion kites up to the night sky, and the Pleiades are scintillating.
With the compass of the Big Dipper pointing at infinity,
