It is the birthday of my old precious friend today. I have not met her for a long time. All my information of hers are from just rumor. We met each other i our university and told a lot during our days. I was a "super" realist, a typical science supermacism man, and I could not believe what I could see with my eyes.  But she taught me the art and gave me heart for loving beauty. As it were, she was my mentor of art or beauty. She said to me, "The strong heart of loving beauty is hidden inside you. If you make it awake, the next door of your life should be open." I could not forget her smile with telling me.  After that we choose another ways and our distance has been getting far away. I heard she got married and had a happy family. If I had not met her, I have never been as I am. She gave me the heart to love beauty and my life to look for the beauty in this world. I really appreciate it and I could not find out any words to thank her now. After that I love those who love and create beauty by themselves needless to age and gender. The person whom I really watnt to be together have been not a realist but those who can love and create beauty with me. I do not know where she is and what she is doing. But every this day, I always pray for her happiness from here.

今日は、大切な古い友人の誕生日です。

 

彼女とはもう長い間会っていません。

どこで何をしているのかさえ、
今は風の便り頼みです。

 

僕が大学生の時知り合い、
以降、色々な事を話しました。

 

当時の僕は超がつく現実主義者。
科学至上主義の典型で、
目に見えるものしか信じなかった。

 

そんな僕に芸術を教え、
美を愛でる心を芽生えさせてくれた。

 

言ってみれば彼女は僕の、
芸術や美の師匠だったのかもしれません。

 

あなたの中には、
誰よりも美を愛する心が眠ってる。

それを目覚めさせたら、
きっと次の人生の扉が開くはずよ。

 

ポカンとした僕に笑ってそう言った、
彼女の笑顔が今でも忘れられません。

 

その後それぞれの道に進み、
以降、疎遠になってしまいました。

 

風のうわさでは結婚して、
幸せな家庭を築いているそうです。

 

彼女との出会いがなければ、
今の僕は決してなかった。

 

世界の中の美を探すことが、
自分のライフワークになるほど、
美を愛せる心をくれた。

 

そんな彼女には感謝の言葉さえ、
見つからないほど感謝しています。

 

以来僕は老若男女を問わず、
美を愛で、自ら作り出せる人が、
とても好きになりました。

 

そして僕にとって一番一緒にいたいのは、
かつての僕のような現実主義者ではなく、
共に美を愛で、創造できる人になった。

 

今彼女がどこで何をしているのか、
僕には全く分からない。

 

でもいつも、そしてこれからも、
今日という日が来る度にここから、

彼女の幸せを心から祈ります。
