The gentlemen seem to be lenient towards those who have obvious and apparent character/behavioral faults. The ladies are not. As for me, I could not stand the sleaziness of having a mistress or two besides the wife at home, heavy drinking, chain smoking, or drug usage even in the past.


男性は、明らかで目に見える人格的あるいは行動上の欠点のある人間に対し寛容な様に見受けられます。女性はそうはいきません。私自身は、家に夫人がいながら、妾（めかけ）をひとりふたりと囲っている軽薄さ、飲酒過多、慢性的喫煙、それにたとえ過去においてであっても違法薬物の摂取には、耐えられませんでした。

Amiga laughs saying that she would choose none. The world would not be a better place if we choose any of these candidates.


However, her opinion would fall into either end of the bell curve of a normal distribution.

Airplane says that she wonders her choice would be C. She would not be surprised to see if either A or B was actually a famous politician in real life.


You are right, Airplane. There was a punch line in this question.

　みみ汰ママは、「私も　Ⅽ　かな。 人生・過去にいろいろ経験も必要だけど、法を犯すようなしなくていい経験はいらないかも。」


Mimimama says that she also might choose C. Although people need a lot of experiences in and during a lifetime, breaking laws is not ones we need.


I agree.

　ジュンは、「僕は、候補者 A に投票すると思います。私は消去法で決めました。まずＢ: 真昼まで寝坊との事で指導者には向いてないと判断。次にＣ: 偏った考えのような気がし、また戦争を起こしそう。そしてＡは、1番最悪ですが国民の意見を取り入れてくれそうな気がしました。」


Jun says he would vote for Candidate A. He used a process of elimination to arrive at his conclusion. As for Candidate A, he would not think sleeping in would be suitable for a leader's behavior. As for C, he might have a skewed vision in life and might cause another war. The choice A to him would seem to have the worst character, however, Jun thought A might actually listen to the people.


Interesting.

　Emily says, "I would vote for Candidate C, because he seems to be quick in decisions and because he is a hero of war. I never hope for a war, but there is something in heroes that attracts me. A leader needs to be talented at something."

　Oliver says, "I cannot help choosing 'B.'

A: He seems to be sly and clever, because he has a way to keep on good terms with other evil politicians, and he can maintain two ladies. But I dislike smokers. They are mere nicotine addicts. They cannot control even themselves; needless to say, they won’t be able to control their counties.

C: I never accept heroes of war because he must have killed a lot of people. He is so acetic that I fear he’ll abruptly lose his temper in the future.

B: He must be lazy, but he may have got fired because of the company’s situation. I think young people should accumulate various experiences in college. I’d rather admire the fact that he could give up drugs. I admit I can’t criticize others only because they are heavy drinkers."


オリバーは、「B を選ばざるを得ない。

A は、ずるく、悪賢いようである。他の悪徳政治家らと仲良くやり、二人の女性とも関係を続けられるのだから。しかし、僕はタバコを吸うやつは嫌いだ。単なるニコチン中毒で、自分自身もコントロールできないやつだ。そんな奴が国などコントロール出来るものか。

C については、僕は、多くの人間を殺してきたような、戦争で活躍した英雄などは信じない。非常に冷徹なひねくれもののようで、将来突然プッツンと切れそうである。

B は怠惰だ。しかし職を追われたのは企業の状況も考えられる。大学では、若い時、色々な経験を人は積むべきだと思うし、ドラッグを止められたというところに感心する。大酒飲みだというだけでは、僕は他人を批判できない。」


Sigh.　It is a rejoicing message for men.


は～。（溜息）これじゃまるで、男性賛歌だよ～。



　Guy said, "I would choose Candidate A, all due to the negation of the character of Candidate C. If someone could exert this much discipline in his life, he would think nothing of requiring others to do the same. "


ギー（フランス人、英語的にガイとは呼んで欲しくないそうです。）は、「僕なら、候補者 C の人格を否定するだけの目的で、A を選ぶ。人生においてもしこれだけの自律心を発揮できるなら、他人にも同様を強いることなど何とも思わないだろうから。」



　Thunderbolt said, "I would go for Candidate B, because Candidate C sounds like a jerk (Do NOT use this word) and A seems to be an asshole (Do NOT use this word)."


雷電は、「僕なら、候補者 B にする。C はまぬけ（Jerk などという言葉は使うな！）で、 A はバカ（Asshole などという言葉は使うな！）みたいだ。」



　SpottedEagle said, "I would choose B, because C is out of the question and A seems to be too lax indulging in women, liquor (smoke included), and gambling."

I came up with a theory. The gentlemen made their choices in comparsion to themselves. The ladies made theirs as if they would become the first lady.


ひとつの理論を思いつきました。男性は自分との比較でこの選択をなさり、女性は自分がファーストレイディになるとして、その旦那様選びを基本に選択をなさったのではないかと思いました。


No matter how their past or present reflects their character, great leadership is remembered of our heroes and heroines of history.


過去及び現在の行動が人格にいかに影響を及ぼしていようとも、偉大なる指導力は、我々の歴史上の英雄、女傑とともに記憶に残っていくものです。
