　Ann: Hello, Roger? This is Ann.

　Roger: Oh, hi, Ann. How have you been? And how is your new apartment working out?

　Ann: Well, that's what I'm calling about. You see, I've decided to look for a new place.

　Roger: Oh, what's the problem with your place now? I thought you liked the apartment.

　　ロジャー：ええ？ 今のところの何が悪いの？ 君が気に入ってると思ったけど。


　Ann: Oh, I do, but it's a little far from campus and the commute is just killing me. You think you could help? I thought you might know more about the housing situation at this school.

　　アン：うん、そうなんだけど、キャンパスから少し遠くて通学がホント、きついの。助けてくれるかな？ 貴方なら、この学校の住宅事情をもっとよく知ってるかも、と思ったのよ。


　Roger: OK. What's your budget like? I mean how much you wanna spend on rent?

　　ロジャー：分かった。予算はどんな？ つまり、家賃にいくら払おうと思っているの？


　Ann: ummm, somewhere under 200 dollars a month including utilities if I could. Oh, and I prefer to rent a furnished apartment.

　　アン：う～ん。できたら、光熱費込みで、一ヶ月200ドル足らずくらいかな。あ、そして、家具付きのアパートが借りれた方がいいんだけど。


　Roger: Humm. And anything else?

　　ロジャー：ふ～ん。で、他には？


　Ann: Yeah, I need a parking space.

　Roger: I know there's an apartment complex around the corner that seem to have a few vacancies. I'll drop by there on my way to class today.


　　ロジャー：かどを曲がったところに、複合アパートがあって、2,3 空き部屋があるようなんだ。今日授業に行く途中で立ち寄ってみよう。


　Ann: Hey, thanks a lot.

　　アン：あの、本当にありがとう。


　Roger: No problem.
